This corresponds to a part of a wall of the patio of Casa Golferichs, a wonderful modernist house in Barcelona city. At that time, most of modernist architects used these broken colorful tiles to embellish the walls of the inner patios.

por desgracia, en mis dos visitas a Barcelona no podí ver el patio de la casa Golferichs. Visité la Sagrada Familia, el Tibidabo y algunas casas de Gaudí.
Espero que la próxima vez voy a ver a este patio.
Barcelona es hermosa!

hmmm...this reminds me of some type of candy! i've forgotten the name of the candy, but its a hard chewy type, probably a hard caramel, but in colors :)
or maybe it reminds me of fruitcake! :)
the shot works so well because of the variety of textures, smooth along the tops and bottom, rough and textured in the middle. the patches are divided into 3's, equally splitting the image making it easier on the eye for viewing too.
nice shot, smartly composed.
