Photographer's Note

La Noche de San Juan is a very old festival that is often linked to bonfires or fires. Some are linked to this event with celebrations in which they celebrate the arrival of the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere, whose principal rite is a fire. The purpose of this ordinance was "to give strength to the sun," that from that time, was becoming "weaker", the days are getting shorter until the winter solstice. Symbolically the fire also has a function "cleansing" in the people who saw them.

It also relates to the birth of Lucifer in some pagan rites, which are also lit fires to burn purifiers concerns (in my case notes from the unviersidad) and San Juan start with more energy

And as they say in Catalunya is the "Nit Magica" (magic night)

The truth is I do not know if San Juan to other rituals are performed in other countries ... there is a tradition?

Photo made in Montjuic, from source, I have a workshop to show another firecracker and another day I upload a magical image sources lit:)
