La Noche de San Juan is a very old festival that is often linked to bonfires or fires. Some are linked to this event with celebrations in which they celebrate the arrival of the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere, whose principal rite is a fire. The purpose of this ordinance was "to give strength to the sun," that from that time, was becoming "weaker", the days are getting shorter until the winter solstice. Symbolically the fire also has a function "cleansing" in the people who saw them.
It also relates to the birth of Lucifer in some pagan rites, which are also lit fires to burn purifiers concerns (in my case notes from the unviersidad) and San Juan start with more energy
And as they say in Catalunya is the "Nit Magica" (magic night)
The truth is I do not know if San Juan to other rituals are performed in other countries ... there is a tradition?
Photo made in Montjuic, from source, I have a workshop to show another firecracker and another day I upload a magical image sources lit:)

Beautiful shot of the fireworks, very lovely, like little golden flowers that bloom in the night sky. I feel like standing down there enjoying it with you.
and thank for your visit to my gallery.

Me gusta esta captura de los cohetes en tu ciudad. La exposición es muy buena, y los cohetes brillan muy fuertes contra el cielo negro de la noche. Es una escena muy linda.

Fireworks are not only beautiful and spectacular to watch but photographing them are not really easy. This one is a very good example of a nice firework shot. You've kept your shutter open long enough to get the clarity and you didn't over expose.
You haven't included any other element than the fireworks themselves and that makes this image so beautiful like a post card.
Very good work!
