Avila Walls, built in the XI century, are the most important and best ones conserved of the Spanish medieval walls.
The Avila Walls perimeter forms a trapeze of about 2 km; the walls measure 14 meters of height with a thickness of 3 meters ending in square battlements, and have 2,526 meters in length.

Las Murallas de Avila, construidas en el siglo XI, son las más importantes y mejor conservadas de entre todas las murallas medievales españolas.
El perímetro de las Murallas de Avila forma un trapecio de unos 2 km y medio; los muros miden 14 metros de altura con un espesor de 3 metros rematando en almenas cuadradas, y tienen 2.526 metros de longitud.

Without those cranes on the horizon this photo might look like an old painting.
I like the colors, composition and those deep shadows that emphasize the walls.
Too bad you didn't clean up some spots on the sky, and the central cloud is a little bit overexposed. I think your scanner is to blame.
