Photographer’s Note

Zamora, la tierra del Románico y del Romancero, es una ciudad española, capital de la provincia de Zamora, que se encuentra al noroeste, cerca de la frontera con Portugal. Pertenece a la actual comunidad autónoma de Castilla y León, y es atravesada por el río Duero de este a oeste.

Es importante su numeroso y excelente arte románico. Destaca especialmente su espléndida Catedral, construida entre los años 1151 y 1174, con su característico cimborrio de influencia bizantina.Zamora es conocida como Ciudad del Románico ya que es la localidad con mayor número de iglesias románicas (25)de toda Europa.
La celebración de la Semana Santa en Zamora está declarada de Interés Turístico Internacional.

Esta imagen es de la plaza y jardines que se encuentran junto a la catedral. Las columnas del parque y el arco que se ve al fondo, pertenecieron al convento de de San Jerónimo, hoy en día es todo lo que queda de él.

Zamora, the land of Romanesque and Romancero, is a Spanish city, capital of the province of Zamora, located in the northwest, near the border with Portugal. It belongs to the current autonomous community of Castilla y Leon, and is crossed by the Douro River from east to west.

It is important to its large and excellent Romanesque art. Strongly underlines its splendid cathedral, built between the years 1151 and 1174, with its distinctive dome base of influence bizantina.Zamora is known as City of Romanesque as it is the locality with the highest number of Romanesque churches (25) across Europe.
The celebration of Easter in Zamora was declared International Tourist Interest.

This image is of the plaza and gardens that are next to the cathedral. The columns of the park and the arch which is in the background, belonged to the convent of San Jeronimo, today is all that remains of him.

Hola Charo,
buena realización en esta toma, la luz no era fácil, pero te dió unas bellas sombras, y tu encuadre consigue una perspectiva muy elegante de la alineación de las columnas.
Es un conjunto muy armónico y con buen grafismo, al que contribuye la espléndida arquitectura que nos muestras, y el bello cielo azul tan limpio, que es un magnífico telón de fondo.
Bien hecha.

La lumière est belle, le ciel est limpide, la perspective est intéressante. J'aime bien l'image et ses couleurs sauf le panneau à droite :)

Magnifique place avec toutes ces colonnes et l'arche à droite recouverte de feuillage. Les couleurs de terre sont bien rendues et s'harmonisent parfaitement avec le beau ciel bleu.

Ces trois photographies sont les bienvenues pour nous faire connaître ce lieu si particulier.
Les édifices (cathédrale, colonnes à chapiteau ionique, ...) méritent absolument une visite.

Estoy de acuerdo con Josep, a pesar de que había una fuerte iluminación, supiste captar una buena toma, con una apreciable perspectiva arquitectonica y una sinigual composición.

Charo, please pardon my wanderings in this comment it is intended to complement your shot. At the top of Mt. Tabor in Israel there is a church that I am sure is influenced by the same forces that have guided this shot, when I saw your shot I thought at first that it was in Israel. The influence of the Roman sense of architecture and then the European one is amazing. I think that maybe this is why all over Europe and the European influenced parts of the globe we westerners can be so comfortable. Your wonderful shot mad me have this thought. Great capture.

Hace demasiado que busco tus fotos. El mirar tu galeria es como tomar un viaje de Espana. Me gusta la arcitectura de que existe en esta foto. Los colores son buenas y la foto tiene buen nitidez.
