Photographer’s Note
The most remarkable feature of the Sanabria valley is the Lago de Sanabria National Park, north of Puebla de Sanabria, the biggest town in the area. The greenness of its pastures, and the humidity of the climate make Sanabria a great farm and cattle land. Tourists come here for the beauty of its landscape. The Rivers Tera and Castro flow through the village of Puebla de Sanabria, with the mountain range in the background. The historical quarter is divided in two by a wall. The castle and noble houses are situated in the upper part. The tower of the castle is called Macho. Lake Sanabria, a glacial lake, is situated north of Puebla. Its shape reminds you of a pair of glasses and it is 3 km long and 1.5 km wide, with a 9.3 km perimeter. The whole of this area is dotted with small lagoons, decorated with birch trees, willows and rebollos. With regard to the fauna we must highlight the bird colony, with royal eagles, griffin vultures. Wolves also roam the area.

Tens aqui um belo enquadramento do lago feito pelas árvores no ptimeiro plano. Gosto daquelas nuvens a flutuar sobre a montanha.
