Pedraza, locality and municipality of the province of Segovia (Spain), placed to 37 km to the Northeast of cardinal Segovia and with a resident population of 447 persons. It is a question of a medieval walled town, which elegant rehabilitation motivated his declaration as Monumental Set in 1951. It results from special interest to visit the ancient jail today turned into museum.

Of Pedraza they were several conquerors who founded the cities of Pedraza and Pedraza Piece of news in the Venezuelan state of Barinas. The city of Our Lady of Pedraza was founded by Gonzalo Piña Ludueña, native of Gibraltar, in 1591, in honor of Dr. Antonio González, governor of the New Kingdom of Granada, who was a native of the from Segovia town of Pedraza. The beginning of this city were quite hard and it was destroyed in several occasions by the jirajaras, up to the point of which they ended up by founding another city a few years later more towards the East, with the same name of Pedraza. Nevertheless, as the ancient population continued in spite of everything in the original place, they began to differentiate with the names of Pedraza and Pedraza Piece of news, the last one with the current name of City Bolivia, of more than 20.000 inhabitants, capital of the municipality Pedraza. A good example of what meant the Spanish work in America with the emigration (that caused the depopulation of many Spanish regions).

Fortunately, Pedraza that a few decades ago it was a people in routes of disappearance has turned into a flourishing focus of tourism into Segovia.

It is not difficult to understand so, undoubtedly, Pedraza it is one of the most beautiful and picturesque corners of Spain.

It is a question of a city walled with medieval flavor, since the time seems that one stopped centuries behind.

Since a few decades ago began the works of recovery of the people, they have been rehabilitated casonas and small palaces, whereas the housings of new construction respect strictly the architectural context.

From different points and highways it is possible to come to Pedraza and the picture is always sugerente and picturesque, since the beautiful wall embraces the city, with his impeccable castle of Zuloaga in an end and the proud Romanesque tower of the parochial one outcropping as the mast of a ship from the Biggest incomparable Square.

The local beauty the gastronomic and tourist interest has joined, since it is difficult to find some alley without his restaurant, oven of roasting or cheap hotel, where the lechazo or suckling lamb to the oven does the delights of the traveler.
A WS where a little more of the parochial church is seen.

Ros,
Os arcos da torre são muito interessantes. A área abaixo dos sinos, sem outro qualquer detalhe ou adorno construtivo, parace querer separar as construções abaixo.

O ponto de tomada está muito bom, mostrando de forma adequada esse interessante lugar.
