The Alcazar of Segovia is a fortified palace in stone, located in the old city of Segovia, Spain. It is one of the most distinctive castle-palaces in Spain by virtue of its shape - like the bow of a ship. The Alcázar was originally built as a fortress but has served since then as a royal palace, a state prison, a Royal Artillery College and a military academy

A beautiful castle, and you chose an excellent vantage point to show in partial silhouette the crenellations and the pointed spires that give it a military fairy tale look. Excellent management of lit too, that even against this powerfully bright blue sky, we can still see and enjoy so much of the detail of the facade. The flag flying proudly above was captured in a perfect flutter.
