I decided yesterday that I need to post some sunny shots to counterbalance the horrible gray and wet weather we're currently having in Amsterdam. therefore I start with Spain, at noon.
This picture was taken on the rooftop of the Alcazar of Segovia, which to me looks a lot like Camelot - although, as almost every major castle in Spain, it started off as an Arab fort.
What I love about this picture is that it was shot with my favourite equipment trio: analogue camera, Ilford film and polarizer. I love the dark sky, the rich contrast of the early afternoon light and the light grain. it's b/w, but it's hotter than it would have been in colour. at least to me.
Ilford FP4 Plus 125, scanned and imported into Photoshop; resized and cropped. no sharpening, no further PP.

sta piovendo da giorni qui ad Amsterdam, il cielo e' grigio, basso e opprimente - per cui ho deciso di postare gli scatti piu' soleggiati che ho per riprendermi un po'.
la foto e' stata scattata dal tetto (anzi, sul tetto) dell'Alcazar di Segovia. Se vi avvicinate a Segovia dalla vallata, in macchina, e' una vista che non dimenticherete facilmente: il castello si erge in tutta la sua imponenza, con le sue torri e torrette, mura e finestre, una specie di Camelot del Sud insomma.

amo questa foto per il cielo scuro, i forti contrasti e la leggera grana.
