Hi Silvia,
Belated welcome to TE! With this photo, you have some basics: the inclusion of colorful flowers in the foreground adds interest to the city landscape, and the trees are well-placed in a triangle (triangles and groups of 3 or 5 are usually more interesting to the eye than flat planes or straight lines). However, I hope you don't mind if I give some advice (that's what TE is for!). This photo lacks focus (and I don't mean that it is blurry). What is your subject? To take an effective photo, you should have a main object or group of objects, and you should limit your depth of field (DOF) or "frame" it (using marginal objects in the photo) to draw the eye to it. Here it almost seems like you are taking a photo of the trees because they are centrally placed and they are the only things with a real composition. The DOF is practically unlimited, making the photo seem flat. I strive to be as helpful as I can; I'm only a beginner myself! If you have questions about this, please ask me!
Keep posting :)
Whitney
P.S. Since the aim of TE is to learn about the world, please provide a note. I happen to know that these buildings are laden with history, but others may not.
