This is a close shot of the Torre del Gallo (Rooster's Tower) of the Catedral Vieja in Salamanca. I've titled it "torre de la pájara" instead because there were pigeons everywhere up there! This was taken on the Ieronimus tour, in which you can ascend the towers through the inside and walk out onto the battlements of the cathedral. Sorry for the flat light of a cloudy day. It was snowing and silent up there, high above the street, which made the whole atmosphere very romantic, like that rooftop scene in Phantom of the Opera :) Except it was cold. We went and got just-baked, hot napolitanas at a bakery to warm up afterwards (the whole Rua Mayor smelled like chocolate that afternoon!) It was a very good day, even in January in Salamanca!
