Photographer’s Note

Apses are one of the arquitectonic elements that define the Romanic style of churchs and here you have one, view from outside. While Gotic temples were built in such a way that all the inside lines drive the eyes of the visitor to the upper part of the construction (where the heaven is supposed to be); Romanic lines drive the look to the apse where there used to be the "Patocrator", a drawn of god. Although I´m not a religious person, I really like to investigate in the minds of Middle age´s people, and what the built is a way to figure it out. Thanks

Muy buena vista de este arte Románico tan bello. Me gusta la nitidez de la vista, los colores de las piedras tanto los lados que le toca sol y los que estan en la sombra. El cielo, azul espectacular!. También me gusta el encuadre, sin dejar ver civilización en ambos lados.
Por cierto, en el Pirineo Catalan hay el Valle de Bohí, recientemente Patrimonio de la Humanidad, por sus iglesias y ermitas Románicas muy bien conservadas, la mas famosa la de Taull.
Recuerdos desde Barcelona.

Hi Miguel, Thanks for uploading this beautiful Roman church. If there's ANY architectural style, that I like best, it's the Roman style, beautiful round forms and SO simple and elegant. I just love it, I'm ALWAYS impressed.
The strange thing is that I like baroque MUSIC very much, but as an architecturale style, they went way over the top, as far as I'm concerned, I better keep my mouth shut about Rococo. These guys were nuts ;-), but in music, baroque is beautiful.
Beautiful blue sky.

Just for the fun of it, I have quickly made a WS, in which I straightened the verticals.

Hola, Miguel. Me encanta esta foto , es una composición excelente.
Me gustan mucho las fotos de arquitectura y de Arte, son mis favoritas.
Aquí nos muestras el Románico en todo su esplendor, la textura de la imagen es fantástica.
Es maravilloso el contraste de colortes en la foto (entre el edificio y el cielo), es de gran belleza.

L'essentiel de l'art roman se trouve dans cette photo, très agréable à regarder. La photo est en phase avec l'art roman lui-même qui est beauté dans la simplicité.

Buscando cosas de Oviedo (tengo la duda de si ir mañana a París o a Oviedo) he llegado a esta foto (gracias a un link de una foto tuya de Oviedo).

Hola Miguel y viva el románico.

Me parece preciosa.
Los canecillos, las semicolumnas adosadas, los arcos fajones y ciegos, los ábsides y ese cimborio,... todo eso y más ayuda a construir una estupenda iglesia con planta de cruz latina que me parece excepcional (como todo el románico en general).
Bueno, en verdad no: el románico que se hace más abajo del Duero (incluyendo su vertiente sur) es mucho más pobre.

Por cierto, el concierto de Morricone se suspendió "gracias" a la huelga de transportistas.
