[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Situado en las puertas de La Maragatería, es una población típicamente maragata, donde ya se puede apreciar la construcción propia de los antiguos arrieros: casas de piedra de mampostería con un gran portalón, en su día necesario para poder guardar los carros.

Próximo a poblaciones como León, Astorga, La Bañeza y Ponferrada, próximo el acceso a la autopista que nos comunica con la cornisa cantábrica, y autovías que se adentran en la meseta castellana.

A 3,5 Km de Astorga , de la que es pedanía; perteneció al antiguo ayuntamiento de Castrillo de los Polvazares, del que dista 2 Km.

A 880 m de altitud, junto al río Jerga, sobre el que se encuentra un molino bastante bien conservado, único sobre este río, cuenta con poco más de 100 habitantes.

Fue un pueblo de arrieros, ocupación secular de los maragatos.

Este patio no es el más típico maragato porque está reformado en su suelo, pero se veía muy bonito lleno de flores y pertenece a una casa particular.

É verdadeiramente um pátio muito bonito. Só nos falta saber se o pátio é de uma casa particular ou de algum lugar público.
Gosto muito das cores fortes e quentes da foto, assim como do ponto de vista.

beautiful reds and overall warm palette in this shot. looks like a very typical spanish courtyard as far as i remember. beautiful! i have only one slight problem: the light on the flowers seems a tad harsh for my taste. i suspect, it is due to the flowers reflecting light (and consequently turning the flowers to white). polarizing filter taming the reflections would have worked nicely here.

This is a good example of light+shadow effect because you could otherwise just shoot in full light. The shadow area is not too dark to lose details and it shows a good exposure can bring the shot to effective result. Diagonals here in composition work well.

has captado muy bien el espíritu tradicional y la arquitectura sencilla de esta zona, que no conozco pero debe ser muy bonita e interesante.
Me gusta cómo has hecho el encuadre y la perspectiva que has captado desde dentro de este patio lleno de flores, que se reflejan en el suelo mojado como en un espejo, y me gusta también el detalle de dejar un pequeño triángulo para ver el cielo azul y así dar un buen contraste a los tonos del patio.
Bonito trabajo, con buena información en la nota.
