Photographer’s Note

---------------------------------
Astorga Cathedral dedicated to Santa Maria, was started in 1471, within the walled enclave of its Romanesque predecessors of centuries XI and XIII and the latter forming the basis for its expansion. The works, which extended into the eighteenth century gave rise to different architectural styles: Gothic flower on the inside with a cloister in the eighteenth century renovated in a neoclassical style, exterior facade and Baroque towers and portico with Renaissance touches.
The facade of the Baroque style, is organized like a stone altar decorated with five exuberant scenes of Christ's life and with a rose plant on the grounds that it is the emblem of the monarchy. It is flanked by two towers which crown the seo Astorgano joined the rest of the temple so that inside the museum are two chapels open to the aisle. The old tower of the cathedral dates from 1678, but was affected by the Lisbon earthquake of 1775 [31] and was not fully rebuilt until 1965. The new tower, pinkish color, was completed in 1708, starting construction in 1698.

Hola Charo.
Nicely framed photo. The little bit of sky blue makes a good combination with the red. I think the bicycles are an important aspect of your composition. The reflection itself has very good detail and clarity. A good idea, this one, and well exposed. The proportions are very pleasing.

Andrew

Hallo charo. Interessant.

Bien vista, y bien realizada.

Hi Charo,
Wonderfully imaginative shot seeing the lovely architecture through the lovely red window.
The bicycles make a striking contrast between the modern and ancient.

hi Charo
I must say this is very clever reflection of image on the unique window that actually can fool me as a door because of the metal grille, and the bicycles being just on the line of the glass bottom to make it as if the reflected image is real, also because the bright light of the reflection is making it looking real.
It really seems to be the opening of this window and seeing through it. Very good shot and well presented.

Ciao cara Charo,

Abrazos.
