Photographer’s Note

This is the top of the Peña Cervera (1412 m).
And this is one of the views from this place. What you can see at the end is the “peña Tejada”. Over that little peak there is a tower because there are problems with comunications (that’s for tv, radio and telephone signal).
But, if you don’t see the tower (just in the center of the photo), there is no sign of civilization. Only the harvested fields are the proof of the presence of men here. Only it.

And behind the peak you can understand why is said that “wide is Castile”. This is the end (or the beginning) of the Iberic System, one of the most important mountain range of the country.

But much better is be there.
That day I was alone. I pick up the camara, also my “chirucas” and I was hours walking. Paths, hills, fields, forests,... I crossed all of them and I arrived until the top of the “Peña Cervera”.
And believe me, do it. You’re going to enjoy uncredibles views and feelings.

Very pleasent sight and good composition. I just think you have to be carefull with the shadows/highlights because there's a visible halo around the rocks.

Hola Carlos.
Me gusta mucho esta foto con las grandes rocas al frente dandole una gran perspectiva y el precioso valle al fondo con el pico solitario. Tiene muy buena profudidad, tu punto de vista esta muy bueno pudiendo a traves de el abarcar una amplia zona de tan bello lugar.

Amazing views from this great vista, with superb depth obtained. The clarity of detail is such that one can discern all of the crevices and shapes and textures of the rocks and cliffs. Good lighting and shadow effects to enhance. Well captured, Carlos. What a marvellous place to hike - such exhilaration at the top!

It looks as if the view goes on forever. I like the depth you have achieved by including the foreground rocks. Good focusing as at only f6.3 those rocks could have been well out of focus.

¡Dejamos el valle y nos subimos al monte! Es natural, como dicen por ahí, "la cabra tira al monte! (lo de cabra va por mí, sobre todo, dado lo que me gusta el monte). Estupenda foto por muchas cosas: la amplitud de la mirada y el buen foco para toda la escena, el cielo, los colores, las luces y las sombras, la vastedad del espacio sobre todo. Muy buena.

la satisfacció quan corones un cim, encara que no sigui massa alt, és indescriptible, i si, a més, fa un dia clar i pots gaudir de bones vistes, aleshores la joia és completa. Jo ja he viscut molts cops aquestes sensacions, i per això m'agrada la teva foto, per tot el que s'hi veu i pel que significa.
D'altra banda, el contrast entre el cel molt ben polaritzat i els colors de la roca amb les esquitxades de verd és magnífic, i la fondària de la imatge és molt gran. Evidentment, es pot veure com n'és d'"ancha Castilla"

Realmente me tengo que quitar el sombrero ante esta foto. Es magnifica, por todo. La luz, el cielo, composición perspectiva.
Me imagino lo gratificante que te supuso después del esfuerzo del ascenso a la cima contemplar este paisaje.

I bet that I will enjoy it, if I'll ever visit this place. Breathtaking views from higher places allways excite me and this image seems to be no exception. I also want wings and fly or may be just go there at the edge of the cliff and run down to the valley. May be I would hurt my self, but I would fell also a great sense of freedom and what a pleasure that is!
