[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It was the final of a long walk.
We were close the Campiña (2.049 m.) and the snow was everywhere.
My friend had rackets, but as I hadn't he didn't use.
He only used his boats and I could follow his deep steps in the snow. Look how he sinks his foots on the snow, look how deep are his steps.

It was something amazing.
Suddenly began to snow.
It was a soft snow and the air was very cold.

I thought of all those who climb high mountains and I felt very happy. It was easier than a giant moutain, but I want to repeat it.

Dedicated to all the TE members who like climbing and who, soon, will be climbing famous mountains.

I hope you like it.

virgin land ahead, hill ahead, some shining sky ahead...few more meters, few more steps, few more breaths...and we'll reach the sky...
simple yet suggestive work,
well done,

I love climbing especially in winter. This is really impressive photo. Great effort.
Regards!

Thanks for the dedication, Carlos ;-) In October, I'll go to North Thailand and Laos and hope to make some mountain treking there, but don't know which mountain yet.
Although this is not the Hymalaias, it seems here that it was a very hard climbing. Good vertical composition, although less dramatic than the first post. The crop in WS is quite interesting.
Un abrazo,
Ricardo

This is a very expressive Photo...
I like the way you capture the scene...
Congratulations

Have a nice week

Hola tu.

Very nicely done Carlos, and although Ive never done climbing throuhgh snow, can very much feel the pain and joy experienced through climbing such a steep mountain. Some great tones here, and quite original having the black and white for this type of shot, which seems to portray much more emotion and making it much more dramatic.

Ola Carlos,
nice your B/W format of this climber with the underfoods that it left behind him.You capture excellent the light and the hue of the snow. The horizon is superb with this strong light.Well done.
Regards,Danos

Ben traballada.
Salutacions,
Josep

Hi Carlos,
Very nice picture ! This b/w is perfect and we can feel the difficult exercice too walk like this...
Christophe

The background light is impressive. The FG foodsteps are interesting, gives a great view there. Your title tells everything there. B/W is wonderful. Well done

Sothy

Brrr.... Coco! What made you post this frightening scene? ;-)
Enough of winter!
Seriously, Carlos, a great moody shot. I like the effort of the trekker, the light is AMAZING, very creative, beautiful, haunting.... am surprised you took this shot in April...

a very suggestive, atmospheric work,
buenas noches,
sasa

The gradiant light/shadow is the real eyepuller seeing the steps in the snow of the counterlighted man, a strong graphical inhospitable landscape shot Carlos

Hola Carlos.
It would be sooo good if I had some snow at this time with about +40 celcius!
A great, a clever composition, I like the notice it is sooooo nice cool!-:))

Hello Carlos,

A very special and strong picture which reminds me the one I saw over 50 years ago when Tenzing had climbed the Everest for the first time.

Hallo Carlos
excellent BW pictures
2049m !! wow .. the way he walks showing the efforts to reach his target
very well done

Hi Carlos - I like this more than the previous photo with the same subject, the reason is the footprints in the snow, I think that completes the picture.

Hola Carlos,
apart from the beauty of the image, I love the meaning you implied by your title. The fulfillment coming after this is really an awesome experience (i didn't do it in snow, but I'd love to try someday). Great work!

Hi Carlos,

I really like this idea, excellent title, good B/W choice and POV

Well done!

Giorgio

Carlos

HOLA CARLOS
BUEN TRABAJO EN B&N, LUCES Y SOMBRAS Y PARECIA SE UNA BUENA ACCENSION
ADEU

Carlos,
This one speaks for itself. We cans see the effort and the will to go to the end. I live in the country with the most snow accumulation in the world and I can tell you how much I understand the effort you provided:D
For me, it is at least one or two stops underexposed...Of course, you would have lost a bit of the sky so it should have been done in the pp. Also, there is some serious vignetting, especially in the bottom.
Have a nice day,
Marc

Hola Carlos

Espero que no he hacio muchas faltas.
Buenas dias
Charles

Hello Carlos I take advantage of my passage on TE, to look at your gallerie. I like very much this photo, for the idea of the overtaking of the human limits.

Hi Carlos
Waouhhh splendide !
Bravo
fred

very nice, very dramatic... almost like another planet... really good conversion (much better than your previous climber shot imo), nothing to complain about here (okay, you know me ;-), perhaps just a bit to much black on the climber, i think some of the details could be recovered in photoshop...)
