Photographer’s Note

This is one of my last photos of Burgos.

Was taken the past summer and here you can see the silhouette of the most famous man given by Burgos: El Cid.

You must forgive me, but today I cannot write a long note about the city or about El Cid. I’ve posted more photos with information about them and even you can found it in internet (even there is a film about El Cid with Charlton Heston).

I have no time and I cannot write more.

Only let me include a few WS of the same statue.

Una de mis últimas fotos de Burgos.

Fue tomada el pasado verano y aquí puedes ver la silueta del hombre más famoso que ha dado Burgos: El Cid.

Debéis de perdonarme, pero hoy no podré escribir una nota más exhaustiva acerca de la ciudad y del Cid.
En fotos anteriores y en internet podéis encontrar información sobre ellos (incluso hay una película, con Charlton Heston, sobre la vida del Cid).

Pero hoy no tengo tiempo.

Eso sí, voy a incluir unos cuantos WS sobre la misma estatua.

Hallo Carlos

I like the last workshop because the base of he statue is not visible, i would also like at your main photo a version without the base of the statue, you wouldn't be able to recognize if it is a statue or real. Needless to say that the sky is superb.

Hola carlos,

una foto muy buena. El contraste es excellente y la silueta de la estatua (El Cid) tiene un detalle perfecto. Esta siluteta está acompañada por el azul intenso del cielo. Un imagen maravillosa.

Sin duda yo escojo la original, por su fuerza dramatica. Excelente composición con la silueta de la figura mística - El Cid - contra un cielo estupendo.

Olá Carlos, good extra ones in WS. The general view is great to give us a better idea of the square where this was taken (and at what hour ;-) and the b&w is really good. I'm a color person, but I think that the other works better here, considering the dramatism of the image. The sky is fantastic and the sillouette is just great against it. I would problably crop just a bit on the right side, getting rid of that 'hole' of sky.

Hola Carlos. A very effective presentation of this statue against the counterlight and the cloudy sky. The use of the polarizer turned out rather well, and I like the effect of El Cid's sword seeming to drill into the bright cloud. Nice photo.

Hola Carlos,
la silueta en contrallum de l'estàtua del Cid resulta molt èpica, adequada a la figura històrica.
L'has retallat molt bé contra aquest cel magnífic de Castella, molt ben polaritzat i ben decorat pels núvols.
Bon treball amb la llum i el color.

Buena imagen del bueno de Rodrigo, de las que me gustan a mí, es como si hubieses pintado su silueta sobre este fantástico cielo, el resultado es excelente y has creado una atmósfera muy interesante e incluso dramática, vamos como una obra de arte, los WS como siempre muy buenos y acertados.

Hola Coco, interesante forma de darle un buen destaque a esta estatua. Este punto de vista le da una sensación mayor de profundidad y libertad con ese bien definido cielo. Tengo dudas respecto a si la composición seria mejorada o no, dejando un poquitín de margen en la izquierda. De todas formas esta foto llama mucho la atención

great minimalistic shot in back light. The silhouette obtained is fantastic and well positioned in the frame. The sky in the bg. and the perfect light control, is what makes the shot amazing. Great one!

hola carlos, he caido en tu galeria de casualidad, he visto muchas fotos tuyas, todas son buenas, hay buen material, te he votado esta por que me parece original el contraluz a pleno sol dejando la silueta del cid , buena definicion y color, excelente POV.
