Photographer’s Note
The 21th of july of 2004 Jerry Goldsmith passed away.
Today is the second anniversary of this sad date.
He was the best musician (composer) of the 20th century. His work is... great!!!
He wrote more than 100 soundtracks.
Some of them: A patch of blue, Total Recall, Under Fire, Mulan, Patton, The planet of the apes, Islands in Stream, Papillon, First Blood (and the other two sequels), Basic Instinct, The Omen (also the two sequels), The boys from Brazil, Hoosiers, Rudy, Star Trek (and another four films of the serie), Alien, Poltergeist, The Russia House, Medicine Man, The sand pebbles, The wind and the lion, The mummy, Gremlins, L.A.

Hi Carlos,
the lightning makes this photo. Great portrait of the musician. Very good expression. Nice POV and composition.
For me the best composer is Phillip Glass and his minimalism music.

Hi Carlos
Nice soft light captured here, especially the highlights around the face. A good, intense look on the face shows good emotion and the portrait format crops in nicely. Good work.

Hi Carlos,
I find this a very well picture, alone a pity that the dark silhouette of the girl totally disappear in the dark environment, very well done!
Have a nice weekend,
John

Hello Carlos,
Great shot. Lovely action and the light is superb. I think I would like to see a fraction more space around her hand. Great shot.

Hi Carlos. Wonderful portrait. Warm soft colours and the look of concentration on her face (which would be natural in this case) and excellent cropping make a lovely image. Well done and thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hi Carlos. That guy sure was a prolific writer. The side POV is a little different and I like what you came up with because we feel both intimate and detached if you catch my drift. Nice light too Carlos.

hola carlos,
love this tributing photo, light is obviously excellent;
the colours and tones make it a very pleasent, very quiet image,
i dared a workshop trying to add some drama to the image, i found that the face of the woman is so sad, so full of concentration and all the surroundings less important that i tried to underline the face, and increase 'sadness" of the scene (or in other words - make it less neutral, less beautiful);
hope you like my vision too,
saludos, j.

Very good image, Carlos, the light on the girl and her viola is really golden, nice crop to render dynamism as we really see her playing. Like it a lot, it has a lot of mood to it, though it is sad of course...
Cheers

Hi Carlos,
Well composed and resonating with emotion and passion. I like how you have captured the musician's face and also the dynamics of the instrument being played. The lighting matches the mood of your note, and the framing and cropping work is impeccable. I like this shot very much. Well done.

Hola Carlos...

Felicidades, amigo!
Un abrazo,
Hercules

Hi Carlos
you had a fine weekend ?
The string point in this shot is how she is lightened up coming out from the darker sourroundings, a perfect light segmentation on the differant elements and a warm colortone, best choice you have put here compared with the WS.
greetings

Hello Carlos
I agree, the music from Star Trek is one of the best I know. Excellent tribute to the composer.
The women`s face looks beautiful when concentrating on the play. Great capture.

Hola Carlos

A very powerful image..there are a lot of contrasts..the stregnth and rough edges of the pillars juxtaposed with the sleek elegance of the violon. The warm tones of the violon and the starkness of the musician again juxtaposed with a face full of intense concentration and subdued emotion.Extremely powerful..love the play of light and the overtones of red..set against darker hues.
The picture actually talks about the whole life story of a musician..says it all!!
Great job....
