Photographer’s Note

Well, probably (and I mean sure) this cathedral is the most important and the most beautiful Spanish Cathedral.

Maybe some of you don't believe me, but it's true.
Leon's cathedral and also Santiago's cathedral are very important, but this is the best one.

And also this one enjoys a great and beautiful city. Because Burgos is a small but very nice city. Its (very) cold temperatures contrast with its warming and charming life.
Also it's got a very good gastronomy and if you come to Spain: please, don't miss it.

And, about the picture: again I used tripod and a long exposure because it was darker than you can see in the photo (well, look the light on the fountain and in the lightstreet and maybe you will understand that it was really darker).
With the wide lens I could get a photo of the whole façade of the cathedral and also I could shot the square at the same time. The people was stopped and then they could appear in the photo.

Une heure bleue très belle et très bien vue !
Les couleurs sont lumineuses malgré la tombée de la nuit. J'aime beaucoup le point d'intérêt créé par la fontaine en avant plan. Je trouve que cela donne une très bonne ambiance à cette image. La cathédrale se dresse fièrement sur cette place.

Excellent shot with your WA lens. There is very little distortion; not enough to be a bother. The early putting-on-of-the-lights has enabled you to achieve a very different image with the lovely glow on the fountain coupled with excellent natural light elsewhere in the scene. Your high POV works well and you were lucky the people kept still.

It`s now about 24 years since I`ve been to spain.I`ve seen many,many cathedrals and I can`t remember which was the nicest one.
I only remember the amazing interior of the one in Salamanca.
Your image is great,tecnical perfect and taken from a great POV.I like the bright yellow at the well and the amazing contrast with this wonderful colored sky.

Olá Carlos, excellent wide angle, beautiful light. I think it's too tight on top, even more considering you have free space in FG. Imo, more of that blue around the cathedral would enhance the view of the architecture. The exposure seems perfect.

Si no es la mejor, es una de las mejores y desde la última restauración está absolutamente soberbia (aunque ya se que ha habido mucho polémica al respecto). Y además me gusta mucho como nos la presentas, está muy bien como has incluido la plaza, la fuente y ese grupito de gente. Y por supuesto la luz, mágica.

El dias que te casas la boda sera aqui o en Santa Maria del mar, en la iglesia de tu pueblecito o en una iglesia griega ?
Me gusta el efecto WA y como se nota la hora azul por abajo y que parece de dia arriba. Yo la visité una vez en camino por Galicia y es verdad que es bonita.

De las más bellas de España y del mundo, pero no es la Catedral de España, es: la de Burgos, única y diferente al resto es la más conocida, pero la de León es la más gótica, la de Ávila, la más románica y de las más antiguas, la de Segovia, la "Dama de las Catedrales", la de Sevilla, la más grande, la de Guadalajara, Mudejar, la de Siguenza, una fortaleza camino del gótico, la de Santiago, meta del peregrino, etc, etc, etc.

Perfecta toma en hora azul has sabido elegir el tiempo de exposición perfecto.

m'alegro de veure't de nou. Sí, probablement aquesta (amb permís de la de León) és la més maca Catedral d'Espanya.
M'agrada com poses en evidència la seva elegància gòtica mitjançant un bon enquadrament i una bona perspectiva.
La llum i els colors també ajuden a fer una foto molt atractiva, i la gent afegeix dinamisme i una bona referència del lloc.

a very beautiful compo, the work using light is perfect. Marvelous pov and perfect job in any point. I liked this cathedral, it is marvelous, but I loved many others in Spain, this one looks so much French for me. Anyway each one has an history, maybe you will consider sevilla and cordoba how mosques, not churches, and they are fabulous too.. Spain, so many things to see and love

Para mi resulta muy difícil decir cual es la catedral mas hermosa oh mas importante de España; aunque esté lejos de conocerlas a todas, hay tantas y tan bonitas y majestuosas!... Pero me acuerdo como esta me impresionó las dos veces que la visité! Lo lastimo mucho que nunca he pasado mucho tiempo en Burgos, porque también me pareció una ciudad que merece ser disfrutada con tiempo.

La foto es estupenda. Escogiste un PdV magnifico y me gusta mucho la perspectiva con dos puntos de fuga, que no es nada usual en edificios altos como la catedral. La luz es divinal, un mixto muy exquisito de "hora azul" y poner de sol. Las personas ayudan a componer una atmósfera de "paseo" muy agradable.

Esta si que es una captura magnifica, de esta maravillosa fachada luciendo su esbelto explendor, el color en esta hora azul es sumamente atractivo, aunque en este caso sean mas destacados los bonitos dorados de la piedra.
