Photographer’s Note

Well, I want to wish you a nice Christmas (I know, Christmas was yesterday) and a happy new year.

It was taken a few days ago in Burgos, in the Espolón (the most beautiful avenue of the city). You can see the Christmas lights and also the people walking on the street.

In the background also you can see the main gate of the old city, that's Santa Maria Arch.

Also there are two WS (1, 2).

This is the story and my wish for you.

A beautiful Christmas picture. There's a fantastic dof thanks to having the arch in focus. Colors are vivid and the sharpness seems just right as well.

Muy buena foto que va muy bien con las festividades de navidad. Me gusta mucho tu composición.

crec que aquesta és la millor opció com foto principal, tot i que les altres també són bones.
Aquí hi ha més vida, la gent borrosa pel moviment afegeix un toc dinàmic a la composició.
És una bona presa nocturna, amb les llums nadalenques que competeixen amb la il.luminació de la magnífica porta de la ciutat vella.

All three images are good. I think I prefer the wide angle one, not because of the wide angle but I prefer the focusing and depth, making the foreground lights as sharp as the cathedral. It's certainly a very pretty scene with the trees covered in fairy lights.

Hola Carlos, all of them are good pictures and I don't know which one I like more, including the wide angle with your tokina. Maybe you did a good choice since this one has the movement of the people which is a nice bonus. Original framings in the whole set.

Hola Carlos , magnifica foto nocturna con ambiente navideño .Me gusta la composicion en vertical y el movimiento de la gente en el paseo.Imagino que habras tirado sin tripode que es mas dificil en estas situaciones asi que mas motivos para ser un buen disparo.

I think you made a right choice (but I also like the wide angle version). The vertical composition lets us see just enough of the christmas lights and the walking people in the street give dynamism to the photo. The lights are perfectly controlled!

Estupenda la foto.. si no tiene la gente en movimiento es solo una buena foto.... ah.. pero me quedo con la 2.... ese ángulo es imposible para mi..

I discover this picture very late, but still in time to wish you a happy something too! I like very much your captures! Here, the light and colors are particularly attractive, that's joyful, with a clear view on the castle and a good dynamic with the colorful crowd of visitors. The POV makes the building stand majestically. The second picture in WS is also a delight of perspective. And the third one, although I find it less intense in terms of light, has an impressive POV. The three are strong pictures and I like each of them. Congratulations!

Very interesting night shot, Carlos.
The architecture is stunning and presented in a very attractive way. Also the decorated trees give the shot a special atmosphere. I really like the final effect.
