Photographer’s Note

Declared as a national monument, Toledo, a small city found on a Castilian hilltop overlooking the Rio Tajo used to be the capital of Spain during Visigoths. Now it's the religious centre of Spain. Locals often refer to Toledo as 'La Ciudad Imperial' (The Imperial City).

Cradle of Monarchs, and the seat of principal archbishops, Toledo constitutes a tourist attraction point of first order sheltered in the knowledge stored in its Mosques, Synagogues, churches and convents. The cathedral, the monastery of Saint John of the Kings, the doors and the walled enclosure or the Alcazar portray the special attractiveness of its streets and plazas.

Toledo was capital of Spain from the Gothic epoch until 1560, fact that explains its really impressive medieval architecture. Walking through its streets one feels like having stepped back into the Middle-Ages, but in the best sense of it, and perhaps you will search your pockets for a few gold-ducats to buy some of Toledo's fine artisany or just to enjoy of its highly recommendable cuisine.

Hello Snezana,
You found an excellent POV to shoot this beautiful picture.
I like the fact that we don't see the borders of the town, just lots of roofs and the bigger monumental buildings and behind those the blue sky.

very beautiful view, though, for some strange reason, this reminded me of a painting by El Greco though your photo and his painting really have not much in common except for the POV, maybe? :)
So many houses... so close to one another...! and a ncie blue sky over them :)

Hi Sne,
A good POV and framing with just enough sky for this pleasant view of Toledo. Light was favourable and gave nicely saturated colors.

Kada mi neko kaže da mi je fotka dobra razglednica, ja to shvatim pozitivno i pravim se važan. Neko to ne voli ni da čuje. Pitanje umetničkih aspiracija. Ti Snežo kako hoćeš, ali voleo bih da imam ovakvu razglednicu iz Toleda.
