This is The Primate Cathedral of Saint Mary of Toledo.
I remember it was one of the latest photos of the Central Old part of Toledo. The weather of 1st May was very changeable, the sun changed the rain twice.
The cathedral of Toledo is one of the three 13th-century High Gothic cathedrals in Spain and is considered, in the opinion of some authorities, to be the magnum opus of the Gothic style in Spain. It was begun in 1226 under the rule of Ferdinand III and the last Gothic contributions were made in the 15th century when, in 1493, the vaults of the central nave were finished during the time of the Catholic Monarchs. It was modeled after the Bourges Cathedral, although its five naves plan is a consequence of the constructors' intention to cover all of the sacred space of the former city mosque with the cathedral, and of the former sahn with the cloister. It also combines some characteristics of the Mudéjar style, mainly in the cloister, and with the presence of multifoiled arches in the triforium. The spectacular incorporation of light and the structural achievements of the ambulatory vaults are some of its more remarkable aspects. It is built with white limestone from the quarries of Olihuelas, near Toledo.

Hello, beautiful classic image that truly represents the grandeur of old Spain. Terrific job using the archway as a frame for the cathedral.

This is nicely cropped. The shape is well suited for the view of the church from between the walls of the nearest buildings. I am glad you included the people in the street.

From my visit of Toledo I remember that it isn't easy to take a picture with a complete view of the cathedral. This because of the many narrow streets that surround it and the not really very big square in front of it.
Still you realized to make a very attractive and qualitative picture of a part of the cathedral. It's beautiful in the format of a bookmark and well framed at both vertical sides.
The streets around the cathedral are always full of life which is shown here also.
Best regards, Paul

A very fine vertical composition. The narrow streets caused that taking photos is very difficult , I suppose but as I can seed you have managed this problem perfectly.
Have a good night/evening!

Holy Toledo!! hahah :)
great photo here my friend.
i absolutely love the tall composition and how narrow you made it look.
it certainly has that feeling of power and dominance.
Very beautiful and classical appearance, but again, its your compo that I really enjoy.
all is good here in Vancouver :)

I like this, you have the same concept in mind as the previous photo...but this one is more subtle, and yet equally effective. Amazing to see the contrast and result from each one, they both have their own character and visual appeal. A great subject for a vertical layout, it fills the frame nicely and presents itself with much grandeur. The slight arch at the top is the perfect little accent piece to see it stand even more prominently. There's a city here in the state of Ohio which is named Toledo,...but I'd much rather see this one! :) Smart idea to include the pedestrians into the framing, they give a terrific sense of scale. Well done again! Have a great day ahead. Take care.

What a spectacular postcard from that amazing old town. The vertical presentation is also charming, well taken.
Have a nice afternoon.

The smart slim vertical crop works well here, the crowds lead in in while the architectural beauty and the dome steal the show very well. A strong composition, perspective and I like the lighting and the natural colours of the stoneworks against the light blue sky, Well done.

I bet you this is not Toledo, OH! Another unusual aspect ratio, but it fits the photo very well. I guess, in the digital age, we do not have to abide by predetermined aspect ratios. Your framing and POV are very effective. Good DOF and a very pleasant subject.

Fine vertical of St. Mary, very large and almost fortress like, and impressive for its architecture.
Good resolution and human walkers for scale.
Congratulations on a good job,
PS: Too bad you will not be able to visit my home state, California. You will have to return and plan where to go here.

Such beautiful architectural details!
A very attractive and pleasant-looking picture, that seems to have been taken some decades ago!
Regards to the slim vertical format, soft light and colors and composition!
TFS - congrats,
