Today this is Spain, South Europa, but the scientists have amazing news for us.
Amasia is the working title for a possible future supercontinent that could be formed by the merger of Asia and North America. This prediction relies mostly on the fact that the Pacific Plate is already subducting under Eurasia and North America, a process which if continued will eventually cause the Pacific to close. Meanwhile, because of the Atlantic mid-ocean ridge, North America would be pushed westward. Thus, the Atlantic at some point in the future would be larger than the Pacific. In Siberia, the boundary between the Eurasian and North American Plates has been stationary for millions of years. The combination of these factors would cause North America to be combined with Asia, thus forming a supercontinent.
A February 2012 study predicts Amasia will form over the North Pole, in about 50 million to 200 million years.
Roy Livermore, now at the University of Cambridge, in the late 1990s predicted a supercontinent called Novopangea, assuming closure of the Pacific, docking of Australia with eastern Asia, and northward motion of Antarctica. The development of the three hypothetical supercontinents: Amasia, Novopangea, and Pangea Proxima, were illustrated in a 2007 New Scientist article.

A wonderful view it is. Stony rocks with greenery all the way and beautiful river flowing by side. What is this structure on the coast. appears more like ruins. Anyway good composition.

I like this picture too. The dominance of mild green and grey tones makes it very pleasant to watch. The road curves very nicely around the rushing river and the old building, whatever it is. You found a very good POV for this.

a few themes in one image here. Interesting old walls, river, bridge and ribbon of road. Fine high POV you had. Good comment and photo-work.
Have a nice evening.

well, I don't think I'll be around to photograph this new Amasia! But i'd love to :)
smart and clever choice to the title of the photo.
good cut of the landscape, leaving the sky out of the photo, and i really like the bridge along the bottom area too.
lots to like here.
enjoy your day

Je me souviens d'avoir ce petit bras de route de Tolède avec un point de vue privilégié dans le stationnement .J'aime cette structure et l'eau tourbillonnante.

Interesting note, Ive not come across those new continents before, so please to learn something new! So the grandson of Gondwanaland is Amasia. Good to know for booking holidays in the future.
I like your shot very much, the road sweeping round seems very natural and really easy for the eye to follow. The main draw for me is that building on the river. Is it abandoned? Looks like an interesting place to shoot.
All the best

Very interesting note, accompanying a very photo. I look forward to hearing from you about your plans. I am doing a number 1-4 day trips in the near future, but I am sure we will manage to get together somewhere. Are you bring your daughter, or just traveling alone?
