‘Moon rises over Toledo’

Hereby my second picture of the rooftops of Toledo with the Alcázar dominating the old town.

The photo is taken a little before sunset from the same viewpoint as the picture of the cathedral and the rooftops that I’ve posted a while ago. That viewpoint was the roofterrace of my hotel.

At the highest point of the town there has been a fortification since Roman times but during the history of Toledo the fortress has been burned and bombarded very often.
Its last destruction was in 1936 and after the civil war it has been completely rebuilt.

A truly stunning pic. The sunshine on the Alcazar makes the building look even more impressive and emphasizes the towering position it has over the city. I might have cropped out a bit of the sky but that's nothing major.

I never visited this place of Spain but it is one of my various project.
Good exposure with a good balance between parts in light and the ones in shadows. As main interest we have the last ray of sun putting orange on the wall of the castle and the moon as bonus.

This is a very nice shot, Paul. The moon with the remaining light of the day is what made it beautiful. I would have given it a little bit more saturation and contrast to emphasize the light you have caught.

This photo brings back memories when I was here in 1973. It is a good thing structure like this does not get remodelled and changed.

Before let me say to you the river Formoso in Brasil gets deeper away from the beach depending where you are. I like to see the moon just as we see it without artifical increasing with lens. The conquering of it seems false but it is time the men stat going to that exploration. At least I would like to see what others buried never will. With a station at moon the human being might see it at the precise moment with cameras set. Weel the city of Toledo is a real amount of houses and at this right place the streets must be like narrowed labyrinths. I remember Tanger where our trip group visited it with a local guider. Despite all the ship allowed de issues of boys in group but did not allow a woman who wanted to go to the city.But we are talking of different countries and mentallities. Mooi verdeelde foto, waardoor de kasteel extra statig boven de stad/plaats uitsteekt, maar ook de foto extra aangenaam rustig maakt.
Ook opvallend is de fijne en zachte overgangen, oftewel: de foto is heel goed belicht.
De wolkjes en de maan maken de foto extra romantisch.

Samengevat: een mooie en verzorgde foto.
