Photographer’s Note
To visit Consuegra is to visit a town that clearly shows traditions of La Mancha.
Its perfectly preserved windmills and fiestas such as the Rosa del Azafrán in November and Medieval Consuegra in August, are testimony to a village that takes the trouble to continue being just that, conserving its medieval past and centuries-old customs. Its monumental heritage, with plazas, churches and shrines, adorns its tranquil streets and livens up a stroll through the town. No walk around Consuegra would be complete without a visit to the Cerro Calderico (Little Cauldron Hill), perfectly visible from afar, with its windmills and medieval castle.
Consuegra originated from the Roman town of Consaburum and, since Roman times, has been an important strategic enclave, particularly in the Middle Ages, as well as an important area and dominion. In the present day, it continues to be an important town with a large number of inhabitants and an economic centre, along with other local towns.

En un lugar de la Mancha cuyo nombre no puedo accordar me vivia un hidalgo, astillero de lanzas .....!!!!!
This image brings me 40 years back when I was reading Cervantès !
Well done Mirari

Hola Mirari,
Veo que hemos coincidido en muchos lugares de nuestra geografía. Y aquí están estos irresistibles molinos tan fotogénicos. Muy buena perspectiva, a la inversa de la que hice yo. Buen trabajo.
un abrazo,
Charo
