La catedral de Santa María y San Julián de Cuenca es el templo principal de la ciudad y la sede diocesiana de la diócesis de Cuenca, en la archidiócesis de Toledo.

Lo más destacado del edificio es que pertenece a un planteamiento muy inicial del gótico, estrechamente relacionado con el arte franconormando del siglo XII francés, como las catedrales de Sasson y Laon.

The cathedral of Santa Maria and San Julian of Cuenca is the main temple of the city and the main building of the diocese of Cuenca, in the archdiocese of Toledo.

Most outstanding of the building it is that it belongs to a very initial exposition of the gothic, closely related to the French art of century XII, like the cathedrals of Sasson and Laon.

Buena foto con una estructura impresionante,
bonitos contrastes, debe de ser muy bonita verla alli,
buen equilibrio de la foto, una perspectiva buena para lograr captar toda la catedral, aunque yo le hubiera tomado un plano más de cerca, aun así muy buen trabajo!

Hello Carlos,

I like the angle this church is in. I take it from the position of the steps and the posture of the people, it is on a hill?

It is nicely exposed, and the small scale of the people doesn't muck it up. :) I alwaus love deep blue sky, especially against old stones.
