Welcome back after the break. Too much work! :)
Today I would like to show you Auditorio de Tenerife.
As per www.webtenerifeuk.co.uk :
"The Tenerife Auditorium is the creation of architect Santiago Calatrava. This impressive piece of architecture has a huge sculptural impact and it is well known as a unique landmark. It offers its visitors the opportunity to admire the architecture as well as being able to enjoy the other natural attractions, such as the sea and mountain ranges that form part of the ancient Anaga Mountains.
The auditorium has tiered platforms that overspill onto the stunning curved area of the Symphonic Hall. This is surrounded by an impressive wing, suspended at 50 metres giving the sensation of movement and flexibility as though it were animated.
In addition to being an architectural masterpiece the Tenerife Auditorium also offers a wide variety of programmes that can be viewed on their official website. The variety of contemporary programmes, such as Tenerife Dance Music, Atlantic Jazz and World Music complement the more classical style of the Tenerife Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera and the Festival of Canarian Music.
The success of these programmes relies on the a variety of open spaces and halls available- such as the Philharmonic Hall, which can accommodate up to 1,658 guests and the Camara Hall with 428 seats. There are also smaller areas available such as rehearsal and meeting rooms or dance and exhibition halls.
The Tenerife auditorium is finished in stunning white, which gives huge visual impact. The interior is equally impressive with its unusual open spaces and modern curved architecture that attract the eye in particular due to its wealth of silhouettes and complex structures."

Ciao Dottore, bentornato!
Bellissime le geometrie visibili in questo scatto e notevole il contrasto tra il bianco della costruzione e il blu intenso del cielo.
Piacevole anche il gioco di luci ed ombre, di cui io sono un appassionato.

Pamiętam to audytorium z Santa Cruz de Teneriffe, bardzo mi się podobało, nie wiedziałam, że to Calatravy. Znakomity kadr i intensywne kolory. Pozdrawiam

Hello Chris,

A good shot with a framing well selected to this architectur of the famous Calatrava. The building arise very well in the sky. A very interesting note too.
NB Now Calatrava builds a new station in my city, Liège.

Ciao Signor Dottore,

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was Valencia, the town where the genius was born, so it reminded me again that I haven't looked yet carefully at the shots I did there in August.

Calatrava's works seem to have been designed for giving awesome photos and to us to play with composition and POV's, isn't it? Here you took good profit of that, making the curved lines nicely fit the rectangle of the frame. The oblique POV could have produced a sense of unbalance, namely because of the inclined steps, but actually it didn't. The only minor flaw for me is the excessive darkness of the shadows, but it looks hard to avoid it without completely burning out the white surface bathed by the sun light.

No, no, no,...I love almost all the works of Calatrava, bu this one is not to be considered as one of his best, however the angle chosen shows an unquestionable original geometrical composition. :)

Nie powiedzialbym ze to jest piekne ale bez watpienia ciekawe.
Ladnie to wkomponowales w kadr. Szkoda ze masz ten slupek ale widze ze nie bylo szansy go ominac.
Ladne kolory, ostrosc, piekne niebo.

Faktycznie, normalny facet by tego nie wymysli, do takiej architektury trzeba bylo genialnego lba. Dobrze sfotografowane dzielo wspolczesnej architektury.
