Strolling for the city of Santa cruz de Tenerife in Canary islands, it was so fantastic to see a park watch made by flowers in Garcia Sanabria park.

It covers an area of 67,230 square metres. It was started thanks to a popular collection. The project was approved by Mayor García Sanabria in 1926. There are several valuable sculptures in the park, some from the I Exhibition of Street Sculptures, by artists like Pablo Serrano and José Guinovart. It also contains busts of famous people of the city, and many plants and trees that are catalogued like in a Botanical Gardens. There is a monument to García Sanabria (1938) in the centre of the park, the work of expressionist sculptor Francisco Borges Salas, and designed by architect Marrero Regalado, "La Fecundidad" is next to the monument. La Rosaleda makes an interesting walk, as does Los Bambúes and Las Casuarinas paths, the latter is near the floral clock.

Santa Cruz is the capital of the island, and also of the province of the same name. With more than 250,000 inhabitants, Santa Cruz is a modern, cosmopolitan and cheerful city. Every day life takes place along its broad avenues, charming squares and bustling streets.
There is a permanent exhibition of important sculptures in the gardens, squares and boulevards of Santa Cruz (including the García Sanabria Municipal Park and La Granja). There are works by internationally renown artists, like Moore, and representatives of the avant-garde of Canary Island art, like José Abad. You can find just about anything you want, from almost anywhere in the world in the excellent shops of Santa Cruz, at excellent prices.
Santa Cruz rises up like an amphitheatre from the coast. It is a major port and a communications hub between Europe, Africa and America, with ships and cruise liners arriving from many different nations.
The city has valuable architectural monuments, such as the churches of La Concepción and San Francisco, the former holds the best collection of religious art and the latter is a fine example of 17th century Baroque; the Palacio de Carta, also 17th century; the Candelaria and Caidos monuments; the sculptures of Juan de Avalos, where Las Ramblas meets Avenida de Anaga; the Palacio Insular, seat of the Cabildo; the Paso Alto Castle-Fortress; San Juan Castle, etc.
A few kilometres from the centre of Santa Cruz, next to the fishing village of San Andrés, you will find the Las Teresitas beach, with its golden sands.
Santa Cruz also has history, science and anthropology museums, theatres, art galleries, cinemas and many culture centres. The social and cultural life of Santa Cruz is intense and the extensive borough encompasses rural villages in the area of Anaga. These are well worth a visit to see the typical customs of the people and the beauty of the scenery.

Tenerife, the largest of the seven islands that make up the Canary Island archipelago, lies between the 28th and the 29th parallel north and 16 and 17 degrees west. Slightly to the north of the Tropic of Cancer, situated in the centre of the chain, between Gran Canaria, La Gomera and La Palma.
The island is just over 300 km from the African coast, and about 1,300 km from the spanish mainland.
