Ola en Las Teresitas Photo

Photographer’s Note

Esta foto está sacada al final de la Playa de la Teresitas en Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Esta playa es una preciosa playa artificial que fue ampliada en 1973 con la adición de arena dorada importada de la antigua provincia Española del Sahara en la que se utilizaron unos 4 millones de sacos de arena. La longitud de la playa es de aproximadamente 1.5 km, y está protegista por un rompeolas para evitar que el Oceano Atlántico se lleve la arena y haga imposible su uso.

Notas de la foto: No he usado trípode. La fue sacada a media tarde (19:00 GMT) y con bastante luz. He usado un filtro polarizador para obtener ese color en el cielo.

Tratamiento de la imagen: He añadido un borde blanco y he modificado ligerante el brillo y el contraste.

Hi Sergio,
There are so many wonderful things about this pic. The deep colour of the ocean is very attractive and the detail and image quality are both superb. The dynamic effect of the breaking waves adds a lot of energy to it and helps create a wonderful image. The only real problem here is the sloping horizon. It's disappointing that you didn't correct that before posting because, apart from that, the pic is very good.

The blue tones in this shot are very nice. You captured the wave at just the right moment. Love the fine spray which comes from it. The image has a bit of a tilt, but this does not detract from a lovely image. Well done.

Hi Sergio. Lovely framing and colour in this photo and great detail in the foreground. One small point, the horizon does lean a little to the left. Great photo all the same. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Sergio.

Apart from the tilt, this is a wonderful image, with colours ranging from pale blue to purple. Action of the waves is cought tremendeously and it gives a special touch to the photo.

une excellente lumière pour rendre le mouvement et la force de cette vague. Les couleurs sont mangifiques. C'est une belle photo (dommage pour l'horizon pas très horizontal).
