[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture was taken in Lanzarote, Canary Islands, at the Parque National de Timanfaya, an active volcanic region which covers about 1/4 of the isle.
The area, which was shaken by a huge eruption in 1730, for about 6 years, is still active, althought no eruptions occured in the last 100 years or so, and the temperature is several hundred degrees just few tens of centimeters underground in many areas of the park.
It is possible to visit it following designed routes, and using bus tours organized by the park itself (price included in the entrance ticket to the park).

The whole isle is actually dotted with volcanoes, some of them much older and quiet now, and which can be visited without risk by an independent traveller.

An absolute beauty Stefano with so many tones and hues sperad across the canvass. You've done well to compsoe it rightly and with a great pov which sowcases the elements so well

Brilliant. The forces of nature seems better artists than us TE photographers. Even we cannot create a beauty like this. It is a work of art. and u have just captured it, nothing else. over the time i have realised we are only freezing the beauty of the nature, and we hardly should have any credit to do that. and it doesnt get more real than this. here the topography and the work on rocks have made it look like a painting. u have just accepted it that way and admired it. just like anybody else will do.

Gorgeous depiction of this volcanic landscape. The colors and shapes make a very nice semi-abstract image. Nicely composed, good DOF. Just the right angle on a spectacular landscape!

La tua foto mi ricorda alcuni paesaggi che ho visto quest'estate in Islanda, non a caso anche qui ci sono di mezzo i vulcani. A me questo genere di paesaggi piaciono un sacco, grazie per avermelo presentato.
