[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this picture from the balcony in front of my hotel room in Lanzarote, Canary Islands.
You might have read about photographers spending days hidden in the grass of the savannah, waiting for the lion to pass at the right place in the right moment, to catch the picture they had in mind.
Here we are not in the Serengeti, and this is far from being a lion, but, in my little world, I also spent sometime every evening, outside my hotel room, while drinking a beer before dinner, waiting for one of the cats wondering around the hotel to pass near these pattern of stairs.
I thought that a cat in that position would have been the best addendum for this interesting architectonic pattern. After few evenings when nothing happened, here it is, the cat, at the right place like a lion in the Serengeti.

Apart from this, Lanzarote is a very beautiful place, but I understand that this cannot be inferred from this picture. I'll come back in the future with other Lanzarote's pictures which show more of this place.

Ha!Ha!!Loved the connection with Serengety,Stefano!!Yes timing definitely plays a very important role in photography. This cat looks like a beer addict,by the way he staring at your beer glass!!
So,Black cats are not alwys unlucky(as they are thought to be ,in India)!!They sometimes even pose for you!!
Sagarneel.

Bravo

there are many shot of me that i say "oh, how i wish there was a black cat around there to complete the composition."... you seem to be lucky with this one... great capture with graphism at its best... again...

:) Very good situational shot!

Cool shot again Stefano, I like this for the same reasons as the other of yuors which I commented on, a great mix of lines and shapes with some good white colour.

Ciao Stefano,

Bravo
Renzo

Well composed as the cat is in just the right place. Nice exposure and good DOF.
