The west coast of Fuerteventura is subject to much higher waves than the east coast and the ocean is pretty rough here. My wife sat down for a moment on peninsula near La Pared, which is about 10 m over sea level and salients deep to the sea. Immediately water spray came ascending 12-14 m high and showered her completely....
