Photographer’s Note
This is the northern coast of Mallorca - Es Codolar - in the way to Formentor. One of the most beautiful and unique landscapes I have ever seen. Swimming in this part of the island of Mallorca is a real experience.
Poets have written wonderful poetries. Famous artists came here during the last century, in the twenties, to relax. A friend of mine, a writer, splendid, Xesca, died yesterday. She was born in Moll de Pollença near Formentor and she loved these landscapes where she knew each stone, rock, pine tree, beach. She was a real dictionary of the Catalan language. I visited her two weeks ago in the hospital, but I did not imagine or thought about the possibility of her decease.
She uploaded a lot of photographs in her blog, but she was a much better writer than photographer. Anyhow, she has written wonderful notes in her blog about Mallorca, its culture, the food, fishing, beaches, music. Xesca, this is Formentor, Es Colomer ......

Olá Roser, just yesterday I saw wonderful photos from this same place in Flickr and now it's right in front of my eyes once again. Maybe it's a premonition...since I'm moving to Granada, I'll have better chances of visit Mallorca. Your photo is beautiful and rich in colors. Love those cliffs that seem like giant waves jumping to the sea.
un abrazo,
ricardo

Dear Roser
What a beautiful picture of a mountain lake. I guess the water must be cold and the lake could be deep. Your framing and execution are excellent. Sharpness is fine, while the hues of green, gray and blue are vibrant. I like how the mountain seem to dip in the sky and not the sea. Well done
best regards
Urs
