Photographer’s Note
Another shot from our short vacation on Mallorca, also known as Germany's 17th State. :-) We avoided the typical German places like the Ballermann and spent our time checking out the island.
We had wonderful weather for the first days, but I once again proved that I'm a Rain Goddess (rain seems to follow me EVERYWHERE!). In this case, it was only a short, warm shower and when it passed, the light was just wonderful.
From mallorcaweb.com:
Sant Elm is a small coastal resort in the municipality of Andratx, that faces the small island Es Pantaleu, and the larger one, Sa Dragonera. Originally it was a small nucleus for fishermen, called sa Palomera, but with the arrival of tourism as from the second half of the 20th century it became a tourist resort with summer houses, flats, restaurants and a few hotels. Now there is a population of about 500 people who live mainly from tourism. In spite of the urban development in the last decade, Sant Elm still preserves its small fishing village charm as it was. The sandy beach, Cala Conills and Cala en Basset, the islet Es Pantaleu and sa Dragonera all form an extraordinarily attractive natural land seascape.

Dobro vece iz Srbije.
Dobra fotografija, kompozicija, boje i ostrina .Prednji plan svetlih boja, srednji plan umerenih boja, kao i oblaci tamnih boja koji docaravaju dramu nailazeceg nevremena.
Pozdrav Paja.

Hola Hermana (also known as Germany's 2nd language, juste before greek and turkish...)
Good that you still have that nice illuminated foreground but yep agree the upper left corner contrasts strongly and that tells nothing good, time to bring the 450D in the safe area !
Have a nice and luminous summer evening JY

Bonjour Linda,

It looks like the rain cloud is away to bother some other poor holiday-makers. The light it left behind is magnificent. Your composition is also excellent with lots of diagonal lines converging on the point of a triangle. The boats provide lots of additional colour. Well done

Barbara.

Hi Linda.
Nice colours and composition. Maybe the exposure is too dark in the left part, but the whole photo looks very interesting.
Well done.

Hi Linda,
Very beautiful and drammatic sky and moody atmosphere. I always love the combination of dark clouds on one side and sunny on the other, it creates dramma and intensified the light. Beautiful composition, rich tone and colors. Good mangement of the light and contrast. Due to the low light and perhaps a higher ISO setting, I detect a little more noise than you usually do. Thanks Linda. Have a great weekend.

Hi Linda, ha! Germany never looked so...well...Spanish! :)) The image is so sharp, you really have perfected your art. Great DOF from start to finish. That moody sky is fantastic, I can;t see in your Info if you used a filter, but whatever you have done, it really works. Looking at your Gallery, you really know how to work that Canon to excellent effect. My compliments, Lisa

In terms of light Linda, I think this is your best so far. The cliffs and moody clouds work well together, something in abundance here in NZ. The light in the bottom right catching the boats are superb, while the compo is well balanced. Terrific stuff.

Jim
