Photographer’s Note

Santuari de Lluc is a monastery and pilgrimage site located in the municipality of Escorca in north-west Mallorca. It is located in a basin on a height of 525 m and is surrounded by a number of high mountains such as the Puig de Massanella. The monastery was founded in the 13C after a moorish shepherd found a statue of the Virgin Mary on the future location of the monastery.

Lluc is considered to be the most important pilgrimage site on Mallorca. It is also known for its boy's choir which has gained international fame and has regular concerts.

Good use of the fg framing arch to view the bg scene with wonderful colour, sharpness & saturation. It also adds a nice graphic quality. Tfs!

Hallo Alexander,

Mooi opgezet met die boog waardoor we een mooie doorkijk krijgen naar dit gebouw. Er zit mooi diepte perspectief in beide muren aan de zijkant waardoor het hele beeld een mooie symetrie krijgt.

A very fine picture. Using the arch as a natural frame always works well. The symmetric framing is the right choice for this kind of setting as well and the sky looks particularly magnificent.

A kind of 'framed-by-arch' with a difference; we only see the top of the arch. I love such devices and am pleased to see correct focus with the arch sharp too. The symmetry is excellent and always visually satisfying; just one banner deciding to be different. ;D Well done

Excellent balance and symmetry here with the arch providing an excellent frame. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The deep blue sky provides a nice backdrop for the shot.

U gebruikt schitterend de boog als frame.
Maar wat u toont in de achtergrond is betoverend om te zien.
Goede kwaliteit goede samenstelling en absoluut good gepresenteerd.
