Banys Ārabs- Arab Baths.
Main entrance to the Baths.
Between 902 and 1229, Palma de Mallorca was under Islamic control and was known as Medina Mayurqa=City of Mallorca.
The Baths were constructed in 11th century. The house (Byzantine origin) with two small room was adopted for baths and was used Romans twelve columns for the cupola. The main room of baths is a cupola with five rounded holes for daylight (was 25 but they were covered). These baths are identical to those which existed in other Islamic cities, and were copied from the Romans.

Hello BArtek ,
A very interesting piece of architecture . This very old building is in quite good condition . Perfect symetrical framing for this beautiful entrance .

great to see you posting more photos, too bad you dont do that more often :)
this is a photo thats more difficult than it looks, as its so hard to illuminate the underside of the upper arch, in the arches inside. it's well done.
and the symmetry is spot on perfect too.
I'll stick to my personal bath though!
