Josep Coll i Bardolet was an important impressionist painter, born in 1912 in Campdevanol, Catalunya, and died in 2007 in the village of Valldemossa, Mallorca. Many of his works reflect the fields, farming and traditional dances of the island of Mallorca. When he died he donated a large number of his works to the Monastery of Lluc. This is one of his paintings on display at the museum of the monastery.
