Photographer's Note

Es Vedrà is a Balearic island approximately 2 km off the western coast of Ibiza, in the area of Cala d'Hort. The island is a nature reserve and is uninhabited. As the main island Ibiza, Es Vedrà consists predominantly of mesozoic limestone without any larger (magnetic) metal accumulations. The esoteric claim of being a "special magnetic place" therefore is a mere urban legend without any scientific, i.e. geological base.

Amazing blue of the Mediteranean.. and the white streak of the waves created by the boat makes the image alive and active. The islands with barren rocks and steep cliffs have been very well captured.
The colours are deep and well saturated.
The light blue sky with a fine line of white clouds create a fine contrast with the deep bloe of the sea.

pur nella sua estrema semplicità e purezza, la foto ha un grande appeal dovuto a parer mio allo splendido contrasto tra il blu intenso del mare ed il colore dell'isola che emerge... e poi, io adoro le isole (sono un appassionato delle Eolie).
