Cala Conta (or Cala Compte): located near the second city of the island, S. Antonio boasts enchanting hues turquoise water. Just across the bay of Cala Compte, slightly off, there are many islands, the two largest are: s'Illa des Bosc and Conillera. S'Illa des Bosc, which means "island of forests", has a name a bit 'misleading, since it' was completely deforested for a fire that destroyed all the trees more 'than a century ago. The island is off the coast of Ibiza just 400 meters away, but the crossing and 'recommended only for skilled and experienced swimmers, and only with a completely flat sea: in fact in this corridor that divides marine Cala Compte from s'Illa des Bosc are often exposed to strong underwater currents. The island of Conillera and 'much more' extended s'Illa des Bosc, and is located slightly north of the latter. The island 'can be seen from various points of the bay of Sant Antoni, which raised its long outline resembles the shape of a beached whale. The history of the island and 'very charming and full of legends of all kinds, for example, is said to be the place of origin of Hannibal, or states that you can' find the hallucinogenic plant "Beleno blanco", which is collected by pagan practitioners, who make a bonfire 'during the night of Sant Joan.

A lovely beach and sea picture, also the rocks care for contrast against the green/blue water.
Excellent perspective and depth image.
Sharpness and colors are perfect.

A beautiful coastal landscape . Interesting contrast between the emerald water and the dark cloudy sky . The horizon line is centered , but that works well here .

Hello Valter,
beautiful scene with cristal clear water.Very nice tranquil atmosphere.Just love these color combination and its superb saturation.Another highligt are for me cloud formations-they look amazing.At first I thought you used long shutter speed or any filter to create this awesome effect(they look like they were in motion).
Very inviting scene-just to relax and do nothing.Great work!

i love the bright, vivid colours in this picture, they are very appealing to the eye. great foreground with the rock formations leading further into the frame towards the land on the horizon. excellent depth of field and sharpness.

A very interesting note and a beautiful photograph with which to illustrate it! I love your large-scale photograph too on Panoramio - there we can really enjoy this picture to the fullest extent. Strangely, though, despite a long search on Googl;e Earth, I'm afraid I can't find your picture there! Perhaps it's not yet been uploaded to Google Earth?

The most impressive feature of this picture must be the clear blue/green water in the foreground through which we can see rocks and plants so clearly, and the way the sunlight "plays" on the more distant water as well as the foreground rocks. The sky is wonderfully interesting too with those lovely almost "explosive" clouds that come from using a wide angle lens.

Excellent composition, glorious vibrant colours, perfect exposure and exceptional detail and sharpness.

Marronnamia che bellezza! Credo che quel mare sia piena di smeraldi invece dell'acqua! Impressionante la resa cromatica qui, é ancora naturale, ma ancora ricco e forte. Il f/22 ha fatto bene qui, ancora una volta l'immagine é come un rasioio. Complimenti, questo é veramente paradiso.

What a sweeping view, I think we are rarely blessed with this kind of conditions and nature. This particular shot has its outstanding beauty, the combination of grey, white and blue sky is extremely remarkable. The bright fg rocky line lifts the contrast so well while taking viewers down and beyond in sublime light and colors. Yes, certainly they hide surprises that Mother Nature can inflict upon us. I like this picture. The balance between the
land and the water creates a nice depth in
the picture and make it also nice calmness
