Photographer’s Note
Descending from Refugio Vega de Urriellu (1.953 m), after passing Refugio de la Terenosa on the way to the village of Bulnes, the trail passes this little collection of seasonal residences, sheds and sheepfolds called Invernales de Arnandes. Well, if you manage to find the right trail it doesn't, but on the descent route the upper part is crisscrossed by a variety of livestock trails and I ended up here instead of being further down in the creek valley on the main trail. The storm that had been brewing all day had finally caught up with me and got me soaked, but it was warm so this was not a major problem. It seemed to me that this place, like many other seasonal residences in Picos de Europa, was abandoned.
On top left, the 2519 m high Naranjo de Bulnes (Picu Urriellu in Asturianu) is partially hidden in the clouds. On the upper right, on the other side of the deep Canal de Balcosin that can be seen in the middle of the image, are the Picos de Albu.

Hello Roland ,
The misty atmosphere is the main feature of this picture , even if the wonderful landscape must be more pleasant to discover on a sunny day . I like a lot the contrast of the red til roofs . The composition is superb , too .

Hi Roland,
This is the place I liked most in Asturias, isolated and peaceful. In your photo I like the green and orange village that contrasts with grey and misty mountains.
Great photo.
Thank you,
Krysia

hi Roland
and interesting POV to show this place. the roofs creats a nice perspective and the low clouds add some drama to the shot. I like the low light and the natural colours

Hello Roland,
a really excellent misty landscape. I like very much how the colours and then the shapes gradually disappear with the distance and for this reason is very good that you could compose red roofs into the foreground.
Best whishes
