Arriondas (Les Arriondes en asturiano) es una villa asturiana, capital del concejo de Parres y de la parroquia de Cuadroveña.

A 8 kilómetros de Cangas de Onís y 65 de Oviedo está habitada por 2.575 personas (2007). Se halla en la vega formada por los ríos Sella y Piloña, que se juntan cerca de ella.

Gracias al Descenso Internacional del Sella la actividad turística en la villa ha crecido notablemente en los últimos años. Así, el turismo activo ha proliferado y son numerosas las empresas dedicadas a organizar descensos en kayak, piragua, etc. por el río Sella. En este río también se pesca salmón durante la temporada veraniega. No en vano, Arriondas es considerada la capital salmonera de España.

El Descenso Internacional del Sella se celebra el primer sábado de agosto posterior al día 2 de dicho mes entre Arriondas y Ribadesella (Principado de Asturias - España), con un recorrido de 20 km a lo largo del río Sella.

Ayer mostré una imagen de Ribadesella, donde termina el descenso del río Sella, hoy os muestro el lugar donde comienza, Arriondas. Pude tener un ángulo mejor, pero está tomada desde el coche en marcha (no se puede parar en todos los lugares...)

Arriondas (Les Arriondas in Asturian) is a village in Asturias, the capital of Parres council and the parish of Cuadroveña.

At 8 km from Cangas de Onís Oviedo and 65 is inhabited by 2575 people (2007). It lies in the valley formed by the rivers Sella and Piloña, who come together around it.
