El Puerto de Pajares is a mountain pass that has traditionally been the main transport route between Asturias and the Central Plateau, until the construction of the PA-66. With an altitude of 1,378 meters, is known for abundant snowfall in winter it receives, steep slopes (up to 17%) and, above all, for the nearby ski resort, Valgrande-Pajares.

Both the N-630 as the railways exploit the same natural step, following the river valleys Pajares in the Asturian side of the river and Bernesga in Leon.

Hi Charo,
Wonderful capture of this grandiose landscape. Excellent DOF and splendid colours.
Georg

Quite frankly I do not like those four distracting poles but If I make an effort I can mentally get rid of them and admire the beautiful view in the background which combined with the sky creates a nice picture.
Antonio

hi Charo

Wow, such a lovely backdrop view of mountains and snow cap to make up your shot. This is really a nice look-out point.

Hey Charo,

Beautiful view here, with nice depth of field and natural colors. Yes the poles are a bit distracting, but they are also a bit symmetrical and quite nicely positioned. Anyway, beautiful scenery in the background.

Regards.

Hi Chara,
A beautiful composition in a really splendid environment. The man in red is well positioned against an amazing background.
Really good work.

Hi Charo,

Looking at the snow on the mountains the first idea is Switzerland or Austria, but of course Spain has both in the south and in the north also this kind of fascinating panorama-views. Interesting presentation with this red-jacked fellow-photographer.

Hi Charo,

Snowy mountains and splendid light plays through clouds are makes your frame an unique one. I like your way adding a curious documentary visitor behind of ferro barrier. Sky is spectacular. Great one, congratulations.

Friendly Regards,

Ertugrul

Hola Charo,
a lovely mountain view in best weather conditions. I like the clarity and the clouds above the snowy peaks. The inclusion of the balustrade, the red guy and the lamps add context. Well done.

Charo,

I always knew that Spain was a beautiful place with many different types of scenery and architecture. I think that you have really driven this thought home, you show such different views and all are fabulous. I also think that this is exactly what TE is about, seeing the world through eyes that don't have the same filters as ours. As for the shot, it is technically great as all yours are, it just has a feeling that seems more that the sum of it's parts, fine capture.

Greg
