Photographer’s Note

The church of San Miguel de Lillo (or San Miguel de Lliño in asturian language) is found in Asturias. It is a World Heritage Site. It was consecrated by Ramiro I and his wife Paterna in the year 848. It was originally dedicated to St. Mary until this worship passed to the nearby palace in the 12th century, leaving this church dedicated to Saint Michael.

It originally had a basilica ground plan, three aisles with a barrel vault, although part of the original structure has disappeared as the building fell into decay during the 12th or 13th century. Nowadays, it conserves its western half from that period, together with several elements in the rest of the church such as the fantastic jambs in the vestibule or the extraordinary lattice on the window of the southern wall, sculpted from one single piece of stone.

Muy bonito lugar, tiene como un brillo la foto pero le favorece!
colores muy bonito, quizás la iglesia un poco amarilla.. pero me gusta, buena definición! Buen trabajo!

Hola Alberto.

Esta foto te quedó muy bonita, hay armonía en el entorno, y los colores de la estructura, destacan altamente. Me gusta mucho la composición y el encuadre, con el juego de arboles a la derecha y el conjunto de nubes en el cielo.

Hola Alberto,
Muy bonita la toma aunque algo centrada. La luz y el color son magníficos. Yo tuve menos suerte con la luz cuando estuve ahí, era un poco tarde y con menos luz.
