Teruel: mudejar heritage Photo

Photographer’s Note

Cathedral of Teruel and the tower in mudejar style. Inscribed as World Heritage by Unesco in 1986.
This is one of the four similar towers in Teruel, a small city (31'158 inhabitants in 2001) but charming. Peaceful and nice to walk along the streets or under these towers. You can see that they have an arch to pass trough.

Rather than my words, here you find what it was written on the Unesco web site:
"The development in the 12th century of Mudéjar art in Aragon resulted from the particular political, social and cultural conditions that prevailed in Spain after the Reconquista. This art, influenced by Islamic tradition, also reflects various contemporary European styles, particularly the Gothic. Present until the early 17th century, it is characterized by an extremely refined and inventive use of brick and glazed tiles in architecture, especially in the belfries."

Photo: original photo was too dark, so I changed the curves. I gave some blue color to the sky too. Finally, crop and frame added.

Nice photo of a beautiful cathedral, the photo is very detailed and has good colours. You corrected the light very well, but it is still a bit hard to see the people by the bottom. Apart from that: good work!

Hola Clemente, he mirado por curiosidad y esta es la segunda foto en TE de Teruel. Espero poder ayudarte a corregir la situación porque estuve allí hace muchos años y me encantó (entonces no le daba a la foto)... Buena composición, la justa y necesaria, además has conseguido que el cielo tenga algo de relieve, que no sea una simple superficie blanca o gris. Lo que no sé si me gusta es el marco, no le veo el sentido, pero vamos, lo importante que es lo de dentro me gusta mucho. Saludos.

Una foto muy bonita del centro de Teruel. Me gusta que el cielo esté tan gris, le da un toque más místico y medieval a la escena. La torre está preciosa con esa luz tan leve.

Hola clemente, bonita toma de esta catedral,es difil mantener las lineas paralelas en este tipo de fotos, sin recurir a focales especiales, y tu lo has logrado bastante bien, la composicion es buena y me as dado ganas de programarne un viaje por esa belle region.
