Photographer’s Note

Today I step from modern architecture to this jewel of antiquity.
The former collegiate church of Santa Maria dates back to 1454.
It is a well-squared in ashlar, looking solid reinforced by its thick exterior buttresses. His home is submitting the Flared proliferation of archivolts resting on continuous capital, these features of the last Gothic.

Its interior space is the Levantine for its Gothic structure with a single nave chapels between buttresses; this intersection with the Levantine is a vital constant in Mora and reflects well on its entire architecture.

In 1851, the church loses its status as Collegiate, and after the last civil war, ending in a dilapidated state. However, its artistic value is unquestionable, and in 1944 was declared a National Monument.
