This another point of view of the Loarre Castle.
Loarre Castle is a Romanesque fortress. The complex was built largely during the 11th and 12th centuries, when its position on the frontier between Christian and Muslim lands gave it its strategic importance.

Romanesque word was first applied in French by the archaeologist Charles de Gerville or his associate Arcisse de Caumont, in the early 19th century, to describe Western European architecture from the 5th to the 13th centuries, at a time when the actual dates of many of the buildings so described had not been ascertained. The term is now used for the more restricted period from the late 10th to the 12th century. The word was used to describe the style which was identifiably Medieval and prefigured the Gothic, yet maintained the rounded Roman arch and thus appeared to be a continuation of the Roman tradition of building, albeit a much simplified and less technically competent version.

Este castillo es una fortaleza románica. El complejo fue construido en gran parte durante los siglos 11 y 12, cuando su ubicación en la frontera entre cristianos y musulmanes le otorgaba su importancia estratégica.

EL término "Románico" se aplicó por primera vez en Francia por el arqueólogo Charles de Gerville o su socio Arcisse de Caumont, a principios del siglo 19, para describir la arquitectura de Europa Occidental desde el siglo 5 al 13, en un momento en que las fechas reales de muchos de las edificios que se definen como tal no han sido comprobadas. El término se usa ahora más restringido para el período comprendido entre fines del 10 al siglo 12. La palabra se usa para describir el estilo medieval que fue identificable y prefiguró el gótico, pero mantuvo el redondeado arco romano y, por tanto, parecía ser una continuación de la tradición romana de los edificios, aunque un tanto simplificada y una versión menos compleja técnicamente.
