A detail of the fascinating and distinctive ceramic work of Sevilla. Ramps and ornaments are found everywhere around Plaza de España
In 1929 Sevilla hosted the Spanish-American Exhibition and numerous buildings were constructed for the exhibition in Maria Luisa Park, among them the Plaza designed by Aníbal González.
This location is used as a setting for Naboo in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, though it was digitally modified.

I like the composition of this shot with the ceramic pillar in focus and the buildings behind it out of focus. Doing this provides a nice background while allowing the ceramic piece to be the center of attention. The beautiful colors compliment that bright andalucian sunlight.

Lovely colours and compostion. As other people have added you have done well to show the fantastic detail of the object in the foreground. Thanks for sharing,

Salut a toi jeune Padawan migrateur !

Hi Andre. I like the juxtaposition of the ceramic and the background building and the colours are super, but I feel that a step back to give a slightly wider view would be good and require less straightening of verticals. A good idea but I think you could do better with another visit.

My compliments! This impressive view of the "Naboo" art is lovely... :P
How you focused the ceramic pillar and left us this backgroud is a nice idea. (Why didn't I think in something like this???)
My compliments my friend!

Very beautiful Andre. Didn't knew Sevilla had such exquisitive palace with ceramic details as beautiful as these. I like your take of this. The oof building, keeping the viewer concentrated in the large pot was a good choice. Lovely polarized sky! Very good indeed!
PS: I can't believe you were so close to Portugal and you didn't come to visit us!!!
