i like the composition, but the frame is overpowering the image. the blue is a bit distracting.. and really meges around with the sky. not giving justive to the image...

Well, I'm not sure I agree with Kapil. I'm not a fan of frames, particularly, but I like the blue better than the black, and his workshop is pretty highly contrasted and sharpened. So, I prefer the original version! But others (including you and Kapil) may disagree, and that's great. I just thought I'd throw another opinion out there. ;) This is a really lovely scene. You composed it well.
