Photographer's Note
The distinctive and colourful Iglesia de Santo Domingo de Guzman sits on the western bank of the dammed and consequently dried up river that runs to the sea through the city of Malaga, Spain. The church dates from the 15th century and has an irregular perimeter, a result of the demolition of various surrounding outbuildings. The church is therefore presented as a set of mainly two storey detached buildings.

Good Morning Brian - I can feel the sun beating down in this shot. Super warm colours and a very well composed image. I like the shadow of the railings which sweep into the shot giving depth and perspective. Interesting juxtaposition of architectural styles, the old church is in no sense upstaged by its modern surroundings! Warm regards rosemary

Hi Brian!
A wonderful warm cold color contrast betwen the yellow honey coloured facade of the building and the bg blue sky. Good sharpness, density & framing. I like the graphism of the fence shadows at right. Tfs!

Hi Brian, It looks very hot here. Great perspective, interesting church, so low, like in South America. Excellent presentation.

Hi Brian
yes, it certainly is a unique looking building.
i have to say it has an ugly/pretty side to it, a bit of both.
the shapes don't seem to fit together well, looks like they tried to put round pieces into squre holes...you know what i mean? the building doesn't have any continuity or flow.
however, as the photo goes, its beautiful because of the colors, and lighting, also due to the effective depth in the compo.
cool shot
cheers

Hi Brian

Hello Brian,
A rather strange looking church - and I don't think I've ever heard of a two storey church before either - but very well taken indeed with no surrounding "clutter" or distractions.
The composition is excellent, the fence and its shadow on the right leading the eye well into the distance to other parts of the city but with the church dominating the mid-ground and its plaza the foreground.
Lovely vibrant colours, perfect exposure and stunning sharpness.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Amo le foto ad angolo.
Questa offre stile in un contesto ampio, compiuto ed omogeneo .
La saturazione e la pulizia delle liee e l'evidenza delle ombre.
