Two Blue Lamps, a photo from Malaga, Andalucia

Photographer's Note

Red walls and blue lamps that grace the surroundings of the marina in Benalmadena Puerto on the Costa del Sol, Spain. Built with a distinctly Moroccan influence on the design and structure, this huge complex is a labyrinth of walkways with shops on the lower levels, restaurants a floor above and apartments on the upper levels. Luxury apartments are situated in the very middle of the marina and are only accessible by private entry across two small bridges.

Un joli coup d'oeil pour ce cliché très coloré.Le format permet de mettre en avant le ciel bien bleu et le mure rouge "claque" au premier plan.

Very vivid colours in an, as always, well composed shot by you. What I like most is the shape of each colour - the grey triangle of the pavement, the powerful red line of the wall, the green water triangle and the large blue sky rectangle. An implicitly graphic shot.

Hello Brian,

This is another shot, evidencing your good sense of composition; the red angled wall gives that excellent, strong f/g triangle, whilst the gap funnels the viewers to the water's edge and beyond.
A pinsharp exposure and strong colours complete the picture.

Hello Brian,
Your pictures are so distinctive and this is yet another great example of the care you take with composition and production. The red walls and blue lamps are clearly what caught your attention and by using them so effectively in the frame you have created an image that is so much more than a holiday photo. I love the way that the layer of cloud frames the picture at the top giving a super balance to the composition. Excellent.
