Photographer’s Note
This is a view of peak Veleta (3400m) in Sierra Nevada, which is about 30km from the center of Granada.
It was taken from the terrace of my home with tele zoom in the maximum range. I was happy to see snow in September, 13th. I prefer summer to winter but I can't wait for the opportunity to have fun in the snow again, since my last time, almost 3 years ago.
From this day on summer temperatures predominated and this snow was melted in a couple of days. Yesterday some snow show up but still much less than what can be seen in this image.
For the lovers of b&w, there's a monochromatic version in WS.

Hola Ricardo,
Saludos,
Günther

A superb mountains scenery with a splendid light and a dramatic sky. Fine contrast between the snow capped mountain in the bg with the illuminated one in the fg.
Best regards,

Cumprimentos,
F.

Hello Ricardo, it was six years ago I visited Granada. When I climbed up to Albaizin and Sacramento area, I saw Sierra Nevada mountains raising just behind the famous Alhambra. Is this one of the peaks which can be seen from Albaizin? It looks very impressive from this perspective. Best regards, Tolga

Hello Ricardo,
I prefer the color version to B&W because the strengh of the lighted area appears to me stronger.
Nice composition with following lighted and shadow stripes in the landscape.

That's a contrast of nature. Snow and cold vs sun and rocks, fantastic, I like it a lot. However you had to climb up as well. Vibrant colors and high sharpness, well done my friend
Best regards and have a nice weekend

Dear Ricardo,
I know very well Sirra Nevada, because I worked there for one of my magazine of tourism. This is SO a beautiful place...in Winter...but during the Sommer it seems like a village of ghosts...but it was many years ago! And now? Let me know, I am curious!
Your pic is wonderful...really from your window???? Bravoooooo!!!!!

Hola Ric
Good day for you

Hola Ricardo.

Paulo

Ola Ricardo. One could easily overlook this one in the thumbnail, but when you open it up it becomes magnificent. The two mountains echoing each other, both crisp and sharp, one covered in snow, the other in warm stone colour, makes a really dramatic panorama. Just majestic! Regards kevin

I definitely would prefer the colour version Ric...the play of light in the FG, the contrast between the warm and cool tones in the FG vs the Bg is brought out well in colour.
Hows life shaping out for you my friend...Ana must be steady in her work there. The internet is more dependable now, I hope
Um Abraco
